Who stands behind Going Digital Photography
Let me introduce myself. My name is Andrew Kielbowicz. I am organizing now new digital photography courses in Victoria, British Columbia. My liaisons with photography last for almost 30 years, In my twenties and thirties I was passionate, young photojournalist working as a staff photographer with the most popular illustrated magazines in Warsaw, Poland. Later I worked as a photo editor, art director and graphic designer in Toronto, Warsaw and Victoria with different agencies and organizations. (DDB Needham, Corporate Profiles, Ontario College of Art, Directors Guild of Canada, Globe and Mail, Now Magazine—naming the few). I am a professional member of Graphic Designers of Canada and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. Recently my photos have been added to the collection of the Museum of Photography in Krakow, Poland.
In the last 5 years I have renewed my interest in photography due to the amazing new possibilities brought by the digital revolution. Stunned by the spectacular revival of photography, I decided to share my broad working knowledge of professional photography, visual arts, graphic design, and related computer technology.
Recently I am in the time of transition to the new chapter in my career: digital photography teaching. I will still operate my graphic design firm, AK DESIGN, http://www.akdesign.ca focusing mostly on high-end logo design and working with selected clients, one at the time. However, most of my time and energy will be devoted to my recent dream — digital photography courses centre, here in Victoria, BC. I did not realize how serious task I have undertaken. Anyway, I think with some synchronicity (which in fact started to work recently) and a little help from my friends I will succeed.
